Rangoon creeper, scientific name Quiqualis indica, is suitable for arches and arbors and produces arching branches with clusters of star-like, sweetly fragrant flowers. The blooms appear periodically during the warm months and are intensely fragrant. The flower petals on Rangoon Creeper are white when they open the first day and then gradually change color to pink, and then red. Flowers, although fragrant during the day, become more fragrant at night.

Combretum indicum was previously known as Quisqualis inidica

Light Requirements

☀️
Full Sun

Rangoon Creeper performs best with full sun exposure. It is best outdoors where it can receive sunlight all day unimpeded. It requires full intensity sunlight to avoid issues that keep it from reaching its full potential.

Symptoms of a lack of full sun include:

  • Pale colors
  • Spindly, leggy growth
  • Leaf drop
  • Failure to thrive

Indoors, Rangoon Creeper may not get enough light unless it is in a solarium, greenhouse or next to bay windows.
