1 Quart Pot
Petrea racemosa "Purple Wreath"
Rough sandpaper like dark green foliage, on twining stems. Older vines may become thick enough to be self-supporting. Produces masses of purple flowers with darker blue sepals on foot long racemes that add not only color, but also beautiful lacy texture, with the true flowers lasting only a couple days, but the 5-pointed star shaped calyxes (as many as 30 to 40 per group) remaining on the vine for several weeks. Flowers monthly throughout the warm season. Often blooms year-round in mild climates or in the greenhouse. Prefers sun or part sun. Drought tolerant once established. |
