::About Us

We are plant enthusiasts… OK plant nuts. In operating this store we pledge to sell the highest quality plants at reasonable prices.

Zone 9 Tropicals is a retail nursery located in Houston, Texas. We are open on the first and third Saturday of each month from 9 to 5, March through October and also on most Sundays from 9 to noon all year. All open garden days can be confirmed on our website.

We prefer you contact us by email. However, we can be reached by phone at 713 863 0708. Please leave a descriptive message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Zone 9 Tropicals specializes in rare and uncommon tropical plants. While we sell many plants that will survive outside in zone 9 winters, many are tropical and will not survive outside in zone 9 during the winter.

We pledge that what we send will be healthy and generously sized according to the descriptions in the catalog.

Like many plant nuts we have bought plants mail order and have been sorely disappointed with what was received. We have been burned by mail order plants before and we don’t want any of our customers to feel that way about our products.

We do not currently have a printed catalog.

We are a retail nursery and do not sell plants wholesale.
