Otatea subsp. aztecorum - 'Mexican Weeping Bamboo'

A non-invasive subtropical clumping bamboo from Mexico and Central America. New shoots grow during summer and fall in the Houston area.

Culms arch gracefully with clusters of leaves roughly 1/8 inch wide and up to 1 foot long. Culms grow to 1.5 inches in diameter and 20 feet tall. Hardy to 22 degrees F.
