Cuphea llavea - Bat Face Cuphea

The mounding habit of Cuppea llavea makes it ideal for those bare spots in need of life. It gives texture to rock gardens and steps.

The bat-faced cuphea likes plenty of sun and regular watering. Like most cupheas, it is miserable in the shade. In too little sun, it may look like it is doing well but it gets scrawnier and scrawnier until one day it just gives up.

This Cuphea is hardy in Zone 9 and in Zone 8 with protection.
