Bauhinia galpinii - Red Orchid Bush

Sprawling shrub-like climber to 6 foot, spreading to 8 foot, great for an espalier, fence or wall. Bears elegant, orchid-like bright red-orange flowers, in panicles at the end of the branches, in spring, into summer. Will lose its foliage during a drought or cold spell, but quickly sprouts again. Full sun, in fertile, well drained soil. Can be grown outdoors in zone 9.
